Yes I am proud of the results BUT gained back all the weight because I did not know what food plan or foods to eat after the shots were over with.  I am the type of person that needs it written in black and white to follow and this diet plan doesnt come with that after the shots are over with.
What food plan or types of foods am I suppose to eat after the shots are finished and I lost all my desired weight?
I have so many family and friends who want to order this product but not until they see that I lose it AND KEEP IT OFF.
Thanks and have a nice day!!!!!!!!!!!

For the first three weeks (phase 3) you should use the VLCD as a framework and just not have to limit your portions at all and not restrict the fats too much. So, you could enjoy eggs for breakfast, a whole chicken breast or a large steak at lunch and dinner. You could have sour cream on your spinach, butter on your veggies and an oil or cheese dressing on your salad...

For phase 4, I recommend the Atkins New Diet Revolution maintenence phase. What it does is have you gradually add carbs until you find out where you don't gain any weight, generally this is about 50 grams of carbs a day or a couple pieces of fruit and a couple servings of grains like bread or rice. Also Suzanne Somers has 3 diet books with incredibly good recipes and a very easy to follow maintence phase. Who would have guessed that a Three's Company star would be such a good cook?!?!

Hi! How are you doing? Thanks for responding!  When are you starting your starts again?  Why do you have to start all over again may I ask?
It seems like alot of people on this forum arent too interested in what happens after the shots are over with.  I know...I was just like them when I started(lol).  I thought I would worry about that when the time came(lol) and if the time came(I didnt beleive whether or not this diet would help and oh yeah...it sure did!).
But the time came when I weighted in at 20 pounds less when it came to my last shot and I didn't make any time to research or read up on what to do after the shots end and I just started to slowly go back to my old ways of eating again. And so what happened? I gained it all back! After giving up on candy and sugar and late night snacking and losing all that weight...I started to go back to all my old habits and I could kick myself in the butt for it!!!!
And I think that not only did this happen to me,but to alot of other people on this site!  So that is why I am trying to encourage us to write more on what happens AFTER the shots are done with!!!!
Okay...I am checking into the Atkins diet and Susanne's books!  So far I checked on the Atkins website and all that came up were a bunch of products to buy....I just went to atkins.com.  Wow...it doesnt say how to eat on it just all these products to buy.  But tomorrow I am going to the bookstore and reading up on Susanne's books.  I think she has 3 out......
I sure hope alot more people like us will open up and share about their experiences on whether or not they kept the weight off after the shots.
I have to admit...it was hard for me to come back and open up on this forum because I felt like I was a failure once again...and didnt want to have to admit that.  I hate admitting to failure(lol), especially after getting so many compliments after losing all that weight and then gaining it all back!
I sure wish that the site helped us more or I wish they had a chaper on LIFE AFTER SHOTS.  It sure would help!!!!!!!!!!
Meanwhile...I guess it would be safe to say that once again I have to start the shots ALL OVER AGAIN after looking so great and losing all that weight.  It is really creepy how fast all the weight can come back...I am actually embarrassed because everybody can see the difference and I dont like it!!! I know family and friends must be thinking, "She looks different...like she gained alot of weight!" but not saying it. I can see the difference in weight because it shows up in my face and butt(lol).  What a difference I look like after taking all the shots and sticking to the plan...even at times when I thought I thought I was going crazy since I love to eat and nibble at night and the plan didnt allow it.  This is what I think started all the weight gain all over again!
: the late night nibbling and the eating of sugar.
Anyway..I am wondering how many others are back to doing the shots all over with?  Would you guys be willing to share along with us if your reading this? It would be much appreciated!
Well, along with reading up on the Atkins and Susanne Summers books...I think I will just stick to eating large salads with chicken and steak for lunch and dinner with veggies.  I noticed I ate alot of salmon after the diet and wonder if this had anything with me gaining it all back?
Wow...these shots aren't just for 23 days...they are a way of life after the shots are done with also.  I noticed that the weight only stays off it one continues to eat healthy and stay away from sugars.  So after the shots..one still has to eat healthy FOR THE REST OF THEIR LIVES.  I guess I slowly get it and the road ahead seems gloomy because no longer can I eat all those late night nibbles or cuppachinos(loads of sugar and caffeine), but then I think of how good I looked and all the compliments I got when I lost all the weight and it is worth it.  Also, it was incredible the amount of energy I had when the 23 days were over with!  I was doing miles on the treadmill because of how energetic and good I felt!
I guess I also am an emotional eater and tend to take my feelings out on food..so I think that reaching out to a therapist on my food issure is going to help this time around.  I had a real emotional issue come up in my life right after doing the shots..and I started to withdraw and eat and gained all the weight back.
So along with eating right for the rest of my life after these shots, I also have to deal with my emotional eating issue.  I feel safe to say in this forum that I am cursed with a 100% Italian last name which means in Italian GOOD EATING.  My last name is BONVENTRE.  And I have had issues with my weight all my life and this time around, with the shots, I am going to finally take control again. I have a long history with anorexia and bolimia.  I am no longer anorexic after going into a rehab but still deals with bolimia a couple times a year, which is quite good from doing it up to 4 times a day:).
So, I hope that all the other beautiful souls on this site learn and realize that LIFE AFTER SHOTS is a mixture of emotional balance and eating right in order to maintain the weight loss!
I just wish so much that more people open up and share what life is like after the shots and dont feel like a failure like me if they are doing the shots over again.
Well, take care and have a nice day and thanx reading and posting back:)  Lots of love, health and happiness to you!

Roseanne, I've had an up and down road since my last injection. Steak days two or three times in a row after a couple of alarming gains... I too am an emotional eater. I need to start injections again because I still need to lose more.  Cry I'm 5 lbs over my last injection weight and I just don't have the power to do another steak day. Embarrassed I keep putting off starting my injections again. I wanted to do it this week, but I came down with bronchitis again last weekend. The Atkins and Suzanne Somers books have been a big help -especially because I know I don't have to follow the weight loss portions of either book-just the maintenence. You should find a comfy chair at the bookstore and read for a while. I can't say it's easy; it seems to take just as much research and planning as the VLCD in some ways. I'm always planning what I'll do next if I get hungry and drinking tea like crazy. Kathy

Kathy, how is your bronkitis? Are you taking antibiotics? I sure hope you are feeling much better.  Don't worry.  I am sure that once you are feeling alot better it will be easier to follow and start the shots again and that you will be very successful and get down to your desired weight:)

Have you ever tried the apple day? I read about that along with the steak day and wondered if maybe you need a little change from the steak and maybe this might give you the incentive?

I either get bronkitis or the flu or pneummonia once a year and got it this year a week or two right after I had such wonderful results with my injections.  And I havent felt right since! Now I have tonsillitus and debating whether or not I should go ahead with the tonsillectomy June 15th or not or start the shots when they come in the next week or so...lol.

Doing the shots doesnt lessen our immune system or does it I wonder?  I would think that eating only healthy foods would help to make us feel better and boost our immune system? I have to tell you though, I have never been sick so much since doing the injections!!!!!!

haven't had a chance yet to go to the bookstore but I can't wait.  I was suppossed to go but something came up:( I will get to go this Tuesday, after the Memorial day weekend!

Well, I sure hope you feel  alot better and that you have a wonderful weekend~  Hope to chat soon!!!

Hi again! How are you feeling? Did you get bronkitis twice this year? Wow!

I just was browsing and reading thru the entire forum and was quite interested mostly by yours when you said you are prone to getting sick alot.  I am too and just recently feel that anitibiotics dont do anything for me. So, I am on this immune boosting health kick and wanted to know some of your tricks on warding off bronkitis and other kinds of colds....Sorry, but I couldnt find your posting on it!   You had said that you were gonna post something about getting sick while taking the shots and its driving me nuts but I dont know where you posted it...lol...sorry!!!

I just really need to know how to get my immunity up again after having taken 10 types of antibiotics this past year plus prednisone for the tonsillitis pain....I think I am going to buy the pearl pills you were talking about but dont know where to buy them.  Also, I was thinking about taking homeopathic drops of echinachea and other types as soon as I feel I am getting sick.  Or should I take them all the timeI wonder?

It never fails, once a year  EVERY SINGLE WINTER  I get a cold, it turns into brokitis then that turns into pneammonia.  It takes me up to 3 months to fully recover.  I am so tired of getting sick and dont see how the anitbiotics help me since I always seem to get worse no matter what!  Now I am so scared because all the antibiotics I have been on this year since getting pneammonia and now tonsillitus....I dont know what to do! Plus when I am home sick for such a long time I get depressed and extremely bored I eat!  I cant beleive I gained back all the weight I lost in the first place and all because I got sick!:(

It felt great to learn about how you are warding off getting colds/bronkitis.  Are you getting it less since you started naturally boosting your immunity I wonder because it seems your sick again with bronkitis even after everything you do to ward it off.

What exactly caused us to get so sick? Why is our immune system in poor condition? I dont understand! Please, can you tell me some things that boost the immune system and can actually PREVENT us form GOOD from getting bronkitis/flu/etc?It seems like I am always getting sick and to say the least, I am sick of getting sick! I miss out on so much life, work, fun, exercise,  family, friends, etc!  Do you feel like this also? Plus I get so moody when sick!

Thank goodness I have friends like you on this forum! Like I said earleir in one post...I dont feel crazy to share and ask questions and read on our forum...but my family and friends would think some of what we talk about and discuss is crazy!  But they are the ones missing out!

Hope your feeling much better and much love and happiness to you on Memorial Day weekend.  Thanks again:)[/color]

Italianwave--
Hello! Smiley  I liked reading your posts--I havent been on in 4-ever!I get on maybe once or twice a week.I loved your honesty! Life after HCG!?!--yeah----well------Its ok on my end---YES--we do kinda fall back into the nasty old eating habits we were once accustomed to-thats why we need not think of this as a "diet" but a new way of life change"-food change----I do still eat "junk" but--------I only eat HALF of the piece of cake or only half of whatever food i know isnt as healthy for me.Always be AWARE of what you are eating!!And before i forget--Ive never know vinegar to spoil-ever----its already fermented---and as for packing lettuce around in the summer---just put it in a airtight container and your vinegar in a little bottle and put them in a small cooler on ice or the frozen ice packs--Anythings possible.
I think a big problem is the word--deprivation!We know we "cant" have something and what happens? We crave it all the more and most importantly--we give in sooner or later and hence the weight gain game begins!! So---NO.1  Dont deprive yourself of anything---stay in control--limit yourself-Portion control is everthing. Its ok Not to finish your plate. We grew up beleiving wrongly---
By the way---I have been and am the same weight after stopping hcg a few months ago---I had chocolate cake last nite--I told myself --its ok-portion control-----Now i am satisfied and i no longer crave it. because theres noone telling me---you cant have that----I guess bottom line is--Dont deprive yourself of anything-be sensible-portion control and stay in control at all times.Talk yourself thru meals.I do still try my best to stay away from sugar---I do eat breads though-whole wheat or rye only-never white.I recently(month ago) started taking flax oil----2 TBS a day--I feel great and it hasnt taking away my mothers and i fibromyalgia--Its awesome-Has tons of health and healing properties-Research it---So simple---and cheap.I stopped my vitamins-never could find one i liked-----i just do bee pollen-flax oil and a hemp shake a day---My mood changes have vanished and i feel pretty darn good and still maintaining my weight. The best of luck to you-Always!!!
Just wanted to say "hey" Miss Kathy In California-Im still alive!!  Grin Have a good one and will try and check in from time to time. And "hey" to all my other HCG BUDDIES as well---Happy Tuesday and have a great day!!

I found a very good resource as an Ebook on Amazon.com.  Its primarily available at www.hcgweightlosscureguide.com (http://www.hcgweightlosscureguide.com).  They email it to you in a.pdf format and I think I paid like $17 or something.  I cannot email it since there are very stringent copyright and distribution warnings.   Wink

This book has yes's and no's for all food types and differentiates between the protocol VLCD and the maintenance phases.  I printed it up on my office printer and had one of the girls in the office punch and bind it with a cover.  It sits in the kitchen next to my George Foreman grill.   Cheesy

I refer to it every day usually while I am eating to see whats next on the menu.

Good luck and let me know.
