Hi All.  Started the "diet" on Monday after 3 days loading.  Lost nearly 10lbs but by day 5 I was starving and went on a binge!  I am so sorry but am trying to get back on track as of tomorrow.  How do you all cope - arent you hungry?

All comments very welcome!

To answer your question, i wasn't hungry. I followed the plan in the journal of eating every 2 1/2 hours.  Are you using drops or the real injections?

I too am hungry and am having a hard time... I only cheated one time with a bite of mac and cheese(my weakness) and only lost 2 oz that day... but overall I have been doing good even though I have been struggling with being hungry all day long.. I notice that when I am hungry I drink lots of water and that tends to fill me up quickly. Good luck to you. Smiley

I am concerned about the hunger. I begin injections soon, and I keep reading that I shouldn't experience hunger, but I keep seeing in other places that people are starving. I KNOW that if I feel like I'm starving I won't make it through the entire process, but that would be such a waste in my case :-/. I was also told that most people that experience extreme hunger are taking homeopathic drops.... Is this true?

I am using the injections and doing so through a Dr. I am 13 days from the end of my first round. and was hungry only the first 2 days.  GOOD LUCK you can do this.
I have lost 32lbs so far and plan on restarting at the end of Oct.

Is it physical hunger (stomach growling) or head hunger?? There's a big difference. Because this is such a restrictive, low calorie diet, it is normal to feel some head hunger, where everything looks good and you feel deprived.  And almost everyone gets the "empty" feeling while on this plan, where you're not really hungry, just feel like you should eat something.

Many times, thirst is mistaken for hunger. Drink 1/2 your body weight in ounces in water.  Drink ice tea, herbal teas, etc. Many people find a hot beverage will help curb "hunger".  Experiment and find what works for you.

This diet is a wonderful way to really get to know your body and its triggers, but you MUST listen to your body to learn.

I use Homeopathic drops and I do not have hunger issues. I have been on VLCD for 26 days and have lost 22 pounds.

Hi Everyone, I have to admit I was a skeptic.  My son began the family ball rolling. He went on the VLCD and in 3 weeks lost 35 pounds.  He looks fantastic.  So I order my drops from Amazon, 2, 2 ounce bottles.  I began a week ago with my two binge days of Saturday and Sunday. So on October 18th I began the VLCD. By Tuesday I was sick feeling and a MAJOR headache.  I switched to the LCD, consuming about 700 to 800 calories a day.

Finally weighed in yesterday when I purchased scales.  I weighed in at 281.4 when I was to the Doctor about 3 weeks ago I think I was around 288, I am calling Monday to find out. I weighed myself this a.m. and I am 279.5!!! Not too shabby.

Especially since yesterday was my youngest Grandson's birthday. Lots and Lots of food, cake, ice cream.  I had a small bowl of pork with celery and carrots and a cup of chicken soup stock my daughter made. I passed on the cake and ice cream.

I have made some great meals that I am surprized are so good.  I will post under recipes.
