Hi ladies,

Just to let you know I have been off the injections during my monthly period for 5 days now.  I have really had no problem maintaining the diet.  I still fell like I am still taking the injections.  (This is also stated in the manuscript.)  Not really hungry, except the craving for Chocolate.   Grin

I did find some calorie free Chocolate.  WALDEN FARMS Calorie Free chocolate dip on the diet isle at Albertsons.  I've been using it on my strawberries and apple slices.  It's pretty good and satisfies my chocolate attacks..

Ramonad,
Thanks for the info about stopping during your period.... I woke up this morning, and did my injection, then a little later, I started my period, so do I now stop the injections until the day after it is over?  and is it ok that I have the injection today, and started today too???  I'm a little nervous about going off the injections for a few days, and do we still do the diet?? Also, will I have to throw away the mixed HCG that I have now, because after my period is over, then it wont be good anymore??....did you have to throw any out?

Also, when you stop the injections during your period, do you include those days as part of the 45 days of treatment??, or will I have to increase the number of days by how ever many days I was off the injections??

Okay...another question about the whole period thing....so I bleed a little this morning, and now don't seem to be bleeding anymore, maybe a tiny tiny bit.... do I need to hold off on the injections, or should I go ahead with it?   Could the HCG be the reason that the bleeding is so lite??  I am in my childbearing years, and dont wanna mess anything up....do you have any suggestions for me??? please!!

Okay, boy you are very excited......

Yes I would stop the injections.  If you have started and you took the injection this morning, that is the reason it is light.  Your period should start looking normal in a day or two, as the HCg works out of your system..  How long have you been taking the injections?  This will tell me if you will have hunger after three days of no shots.  You will have to have had at least 4 or 5 days of injections, and you should not have much hunger if at all during your period.

Yes stay on the diet for at least 3 days.  But I beleive you will have very little problem with hunger after that anyways.

The solution can last up to 14 days in the frig. Its not that it gos bad, but gets weaker and weaker I mixed a new batch 9 days ago.  So mine will be Okay

I would not include the days of your period because you are off the HCg.  The reason for 40/45 days of treatment is because you build up an immunity to it and it stops working.  So continue right where you left off.  If you have 24 days of injections left.  Do them.

Well I think I got all the questions answered.

Ramonad,
Today was my 9th day of injections, and 7th day on the diet.... the last batch I mixed was 4 days ago, so if I don't inject for 5 days, that would make the solution 9 days old,...so after 5 days, or however long aunt flow stays, then I'd just use this same batch to continue injections?  by the time I get down to the last couple of injections, will the HCG still be just as potent??
I know I ask a lot of questions...just wanna make sure I'm doing this right!!  Thanks so much for all your help!!

Well i thought we were suppose to just count the days right through our period.  like 45 days is 45 days (not to minus the 5 days or so were on our period) cuz it stays in our system anyhow for 3 days after the injection.

Hello,
I'm new writing in the forum, but have been reading daily for about 2 months now. I have been injecting HCG for 12 days and I've lost 12 lbs. I did not loose anything during my 2 days of gorging.
I haven't had any weight loss in the last 3 days. The day before ,I woke up with cramps but no period, weighed myself and no weight loss than I injected. Yesterday I woke up weighed myself no weight loss, injected than received my period. This morning I weighed an I'm still at the same weight I've been at for the last 3 days.  Could this be because of the period?  I haven't deviated away from the diet at all- I'm drinking almost a gallon of water a day which is normal for me anyway and the teas as well.
I've ceased injections and will continue after my period is gone.  If anyone can relate to this, please do so.  You're thoughts are appreciated.  Thanks!

Lisa,
I would say that it is most likely because of your period... I did the same during mine, and I've read that many other people have the same issue...when you start your injections back up, you should be right back on track, as long as you stick to the diet!  You could also try the apple day too.
Good luck

Hi Lori,
I'm down a pound today and haven't injected since Friday and today is Sunday.  I think the water weight from my period is what did it.  I don't have that much weight to loose so it's ok if it stalls from time to time.  I'm going to resume my injections tomorrow- I read in the dr.s manuscript that you're acutally suppose to stop the injections 3 days (I think) from when your menses is suppost to start- well I didn't do that and that's probably why when my peroiod started on Friday it was sooooooo heavy and the cramps were horrilbe.  Yesterday was bad too! Much better today though Smiley Would also like to note that my period was late by 2 days as well.  I'm one of those who are always on time no matter what- 28 days precisely.
Thanks again for responding, I've been reading some of the other ladies posts and see that their TOM slows their weight loss down too.  Take care- talk to you soon I'm sure.

Lori, a little off the subject of injections during TOM, but I discovered such a wonderful way to not have cramps during my TOM. Every day I drink a huge (2 cup capacity mug) cup of red rasberry leaf tea with stevia, of course. After the first month of doing that, I have never had cramps again. And, I used to have horrible cramps that got worse after I had children. Kathy

Thanks for the tip Kathy...I'll have to try that!!!  I am still on phase three right now.... I plan to start my second round either on Christmas eve, or around new years ( I think I should start my period on the 28th, so I'll probably just wait til its gone, the start!)
Anyway....good luck!

Hello all,
I would suggest to anyone who is going to start the HCG, do it after you get your period.  The time of the month really slowed things down for me, and it's not a rewarding feeling when you get on the scale after following such a strict diet to find you've lost no weight.  I did everything I was suppose to, stopped the injections when my friend came, resumed injections when she left and no weight loss for 2 days.  So yesterday I decided to take Lori's suggestion and do the apple day, and guess what, down 2lbs this morning. It's not that difficult to do the apple day since you get so use to eating so little anyway.  The difficult part for me was trying not to drink to much water.  I did have 1 cup of coffee in the am and a total of 3 cups of water throughout the day.  I also only ate 5 large red apples, not six. I started on my first apple at 10:30 and finished the last one around 9pm.

ta ta for now...

Thanks for sharing Lisa.... I am definitly going to wait til after my TOM to start my next round....the timing worked out perfectly for me.... it will have been 6 weeks exactly right when I'm supposed to start my period, so I'll just wait a few more days, and then atleast I'll have 3 weeks to not have to worry about TOM!!  I'm hoping to lose 30 more pounds next round, (I will do 40 days), and that will put me at 145....then I'll take 8 weeks off, and do my last round, which I'm hoping to be at 120 by the end of that round,....so we will see!! I daydream about being 120 pounds again!!
Bye for now....can't wait to be posting my awesome results again soon!!
Lori
PS.... I have kept all the weight off, and I eat all the time....it really is a miracle!!
