Hey, new to this group but read "A Man's Perspective" and do appreciate him posting it here...thought I'd share as well.

I am 34 years old, 5'4" short or tall however you want to look at that and started this diet at 219.5 lbs. most I've weighed in my life.

My wife and I are doing this together so that helps A LOT!

Here are my daily weight loss statistics so far...for a total loss to date of 12.5 lbs. in 12 days including my gorging days.

4/13/2009   219.5
4/14/2009   219.5
4/15/2009   216.5
4/16/2009   213
4/17/2009   210
4/18/2009   208.6
4/19/2009   207.2
4/20/2009   207
4/21/2009   206.5
4/22/2009   206
4/23/2009   206.5
4/24/2009   207
4/25/2009  203.5

We're trying to follow the diet to a T.  My mother is the one that got us started.
Our typical diet consists of:

Meat: Boneless Skinless Chicken Breast & Hamburger Patties.  I also eat shrimp and Tilapia(fish)...it gives me more variety but my wife doesn't like fish or seafood.

Veggies: Cabbage, Tomatoes, and we are starting to eat asparagus for variety

Fruit: Apples & Oranges

ETC: Melba Toast, Using liquid stevia in tea & coffee, and let me add that Apple Cider Vinegar was made by Satan!

I will say that the George Foreman grill is THE BOMB for this diet!  We pre-made our hamburger patties and put them in the freezer.

If anyone would like to know more about our preparation of the food, let me know...

I am excited about the weight loss so far and hope to continue losing at this rate...will continue to update weight loss and problems areas...I would love feedback from new dieters and people that have done this in the past.

I would also like to hear from anyone who has incorporated exercise (weights, running, and/or racquetball) into this diet...I know about fatigue and the fact that it is only 500 calories - but if I have the energy to do so, it seems to me that it can only help to create a calorie deficit...I may not be seeing the BIG picture here, so any ideas would be helpful.

Quick update...I updated the above post to keep all stats in one place.

A little discouraged today...gained .5 but been trying to follow the plan as close as possible...but my wife lost 2 which is encouraging to both of us.  We'll keep on trucking along.

I do know I didn't get enough water yesterday, but we skipped an entire meal and 1.5 fruits...

oh well...

Tomorrow will be better - it BETTER be!

MAN, yesterday was HARD.  Went to the Arkansas Travelers game in Little Rock.  Hot Dogs, Nachos, Funnel Cakes, Lemonaide, Cotton Candy...the smell was almost more than we could bear.

We did beat it though...and it paid off this morning...I was down 3.5 pounds and my wife was down another 1.5 pounds.

We both had an orange all day with our water...then I had 85 grams of white chicken in a can with some tomato & basil with 5-6 grape tomatoes.

Anyway, now you're up-to-date...

I am confused because the protocol I am following does not allow for hamburger patties. I am having 100 grams of chicken or white fish or crab or shrimp or veal or beef (no fat). I am eating 2 chicken one day then chicken and fish then chicken again twice then chicken and beef, then 2 chicken s again.. etc... I have lost 13 lbs in 16 days and I am thriled!

I am about to start the HCG. I am so excited about getting the injections and getting started. I have read the protocal and have one quick question...

No Breakfast, correct? except coffee or tea?

For lunch, am I suppose to have 100gms of chkn/meat (dont like seafood)
AND veggies (from the list) AND toast AND apple

SO I am having all FOUR items or just one item from the four listed???

I am confused and want to make sure I do it right. Want to lose 40 lbs by the end of the summer.

Any tips on fighting hunger or teas that could help as well?

Please advise! Undecided
