How much calories should we be eating at lunch and dinner, is 1/2 c cooked enough and 1c uncooked or should i weigh vegetables in oz. someone told me at least 6 to 7 oz of vegetable should be enoungh. there's nothing in the protocol about how much vegetable should be eaten. Is there anyone that can help me out. Thank you very much

I was told by my doctor that I should have a large handful or more with each meal. I hope this helps!

I usually do about a large handful (a little more if lettuce), but it depends on which vegetables we're talking about ~ asparagus is about 4 spears and you have to be careful with the tomatoes, as well! If you're in high ketosis (40 or higher) you can add some more veggies.

wow, only 4 spears? i really messed up tonight!!
I was pretty hungry, and ate at least 12! i guess i will wait and see tomorrow.
If i ever do that again,
should i skip my fruit?

I asked the same question on one of the other sites and was told to figure your protein and fruit for the day, add them together and subtract it from the 500 calories and that is what you can have in veggies. It seems to have worked pretty well so far. I was also told to go to fitday.com to look up calories. Ever since I have used this system I have been having 6 to 8oz of lettuce or 8 to 10 oz of cucumber per meal. Hope this helped.
