Hello everyone  Grin

I am tired of eating chicken and I hate fish.  Any suggestions on what types of lean meat we can eat?

On phase two, I ate very lean beef. No marbling, no visible fat. But Simeons says not to eat this more than one meal a day. So if you have beef for lunch, have something else for dinner.

I also tried all the different types of fish. Find a good fish monger who sells really fresh fish. It makes a difference. I buy my fish at Whole Foods and it's delicious. I also buy Redmond's sea salt. Yumm! Here's a trick for cooking fish with no oil. Salt the bottom of the pan and then place the fish on that. Drizzle with the juice of fresh lemon and more sea salt, dill and fresh ground pepper. Place one or two very thin slices of the lemon on top of the fish. Cook until the fish loses it's translucence and just turns white (either broil or bake). You may find you like fish a little better.

For me the diet got so monotonous that after the first couple of weeks, I was even trying the fresh fennel. And it turns out that I like fresh fennel, roasted in the oven.

I am not a fish lover, either! LOL  I only like the "fish 'n chips" kind, but that's breaded and fried, so it's a no-go on HCG ~ I usually have some lean, organic, grass-fed ground beef for lunch and chicken for dinner.  Yeah, it's the same thing everyday, but I have 1/2 pound more to lose and I will have lost 40 pounds!!!  So it's worth it to me, personally to deal with the food issues ~

There is another forum I'm on that also has recipes for phase 2, I'll give you the link if you want to check it out ~ http://www.hcgsupportgroup.com

We need to do this anyway, especially on this diet and when eating beef, but you need to make sure you are fairly regular and "moving" ~ if you catch my drift! Wink

I believe someone on here said you could have GROUND turkey, also, as it was leaner ~ but you don't want to have regular turkey, as it has more oils ~

This is the regimen that I followed on the Hcg diet and it worked well for me. My lunch consisted of 100 grams of either veal, chicken breast, beef, lobster, fresh white fish, shrimp, or crab. All of the fat must be removed before cooking the meat and it must be weighed while in it is in the raw state. You must cook your meat by grilling or boiling and without adding any added fat to it. Then you should include one vegetable with your meat. I also have purchased both cookbooks for the Hcg diet which has been great for me and my family because I tend to get real bored eating the same foods over and over again. I hope that this helps you continue on with your Hcg diet. I love this diet!
