Hello!  I'm new to this forum and thought I'd introduce myself!  I started my injections on the 17th as well as two "loading" days!  I started at 284 lb. on first day of VLCD and am down to 275!

I must say after losing 4 pounds the first day I was expecting to lose that much for a few more days, but, alas, 'tis not the case ~ That's O.K., though!  My hubby keeps reminding me I've lost 9 pounds!  Shocked)

I'm drinking lots of water! Until a couple years ago I could not stomach drinking much water, as I never really drank it growing up.  Now having found purified water, and occasionally tasting tap water, I know why!  Yuck!!!

I have a huge tendency to let myself get dehydrated (I can go from breakfast to dinner without consuming anything), so I've been setting a timer for every 20 - 30 minutes during the day and just drinking 8 oz. at a time.  I find that very helpful and much easier!

I'm trying to drink my body weight divided in half and an ounce for each pound of that (I don't think I explained that very well).  Two days ago I drank 144 oz. and yesterday I drank 184 oz.  I think yesterday may have been too much water?  I didn't lose as much as the previous 2 days.  Oh well.

I'm looking forward to going through this journey with you guys!

Jenn

Nice to meet you Jenn,
Good idea about the timer... I should try that as I also have those tendencies!
9 lbs is awsome, congrats! I m happily awaiting the day I start my HCG (about 2-4 weeks depending on what I get done in that time)

ciao,
Kris

Hi, Kris!
Nice to "meet" you!

Kudos to you for being able to do Phase 1 and for already losing weight ~ that is awesome!!!  I can't afford to do all that stuff, so I jumped in with the HCG.  I kinda wish I had done the Candida cleanse and am wondering if I can pull it off while on the HCG ~

I am on day 12 and have lost 17.5 pounds!  WooHoo!  I have a long way to go, but it makes all this worth it having lost a good chuck already ~

Let us know when you start your HCG and keep me posted on your progress!   Smiley
(you should stick the needle in fast, not slow, ~ I do mine in the lower belly area and "squeeze" an area and just pop that sucker in!  I generally don't even feel it.  I've tried closer to the belly button, but for me it hurts more.)

Awesome job!!  My name is Shannon, I just joined this website tonight.  I thought that it would be a great support system.  I am on my second round of phase 2.  I lost a total of 35 pounds on my first round.  Now I am on my first day of the 500 calorie part.  This has been the easiest program that I have ever been on.  I will have to do this program probably one more time after this to be at the weight I want to be.  Keep up the good work.  It is so amazing how quick the weight comes off!! Hi my name is Tiffany.  I have done 2 rounds of the protocol and I'm starting my 3rd round tomorrow.  I'm so excited!  I would say that it is good to be hydrated, but I think you are drinking a lot of water.  LIke you said in your post, it may be too much.  A doctor told me that 8 8 oz. glasses is plenty to drink and anything too much over that is putting unneeded stress on your bladder.  Just a thought.  Good luck on the protocol!  You're going to love the results!!  I can't wait to start dropping pounds again!

Hooray for you, mom, for making it through one round and starting on another!!!

I hit a plateau for a few days, and lost more today ~ albeit only 1 more pound.
So now I'm 19 down (and a lot more to go)!   Cheesy

Hi, Tiffany, and welcome!

Yes, I was drinking a bit too much water!   Cheesy
It really is a good idea, though, to divide your weight by 2 and drink that many ounces.  To keep hydrated and to enable your body to flush out the ketone bodies (fat).
The more you drink the more your body can get rid of, but if you drink too much then your body can just hold it ~ it's finding the balance that can take a bit.
1/2 gallon (8 8oz. glasses/64 oz) really should be the minimum you drink everyday (at least while on this diet).

Nice to have another someone on here to share this journey with!   Smiley
Best wishes on Round 3!!!

I'm new to the forums. I just finished my first week of round one and lost 9lbs. I'm very pleased so far. How ever I've found myself completely drained of energy at times. I was just wondering if this was normal. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Hello there,

I knew to all this and would like to introduce myself.  My name is Debra and I've just started on the protocol  I am on day 2 of HCG injections and have been loading for 2 days.  So, my weight is up by a pound and I'm feeling all bloated and yucky.  I can't wait to start tomorrow on the diet, so I can start seeing results.  Anyway, I do have a question for you all, I read somewhere that Pea Protein powder was safe for phase 2.  Has anyone heard of that?   If it's okay, then that may help with adding some other protein options.   I wanted bring that for lunch, but started thinking that maybe it will slow down my weight loss and didn't want to jeopardize that.

Thanks,
Debra

Hi,
I am on day 11 of the injections, not counting the two loading days. I've only lost 5.5 pounds and I have stuck to my diet exactly as prescribed. I have had four days of same weight...stale mate. Have any of you been through this as well? I did read that when the plateau arrives it is necessary to eat six apples and drink less water for a day. Have any of you experienced this? Appreciate your advice. Cheers Sophie

Sophie,
I hit a plateau closer to the end of my phase.  My husband and I both did the apple day, and we had a breakthrough.  Do your apple day, and try to keep thinking positively.  Also, consider adding some walking in each day-if you don't already.

Hi everyone...

I just ran across all of this last night and am amazed at the results. I have roughly 80 pounds to lose but would be happy with anything. I am going to order everything tomorrow and see how it goes... keep up the good work..

I am also a newbie on my first week of the Phase 2 protocol.  I have lost 4 lbs after the 1st day of the 500 calorie diet (Day 3).  It was a very difficult day today (Day 4), I felt hungry.  I continued to drink more water, and that seemed to take the hunger edge off.  I hope this is not going to be the norm on this diet.  I was led to believe that I would not be hungry.  Did anyone else experience hunger during the first week of your protocol?  If so, did it continue into the entire protocol.  How did you overcome the hunger?

are you on the kevin trudeau diet? remember to drink the teas. they really help with hunger. and after the 4th or 5th day your hunger will go away. this really works. I think the oolong tea works the best. Yerba mate teas also help well with curbing hunger. good luck!
