So I have done all the research and I am currently on my 6th shot, My load days were friday and saturday and I started the VLCD on sunday (but i totally cheated Undecided) but im stronger now and have been doinf the vlcd exactly.!  Grin

My daily menuy is as follows:

Breakfast: Tea

Snack: apple

Lunch: 3 1/2oz steak/chicken / 3 1/2oz of asparagus,cucumber,celery / 1 tomatatoe

Snack: Apple

Dinner: (same as lunch)

Drinking water or tea all day long.

But i have been following the diet on monday and tue.

Day 1 (load) - 155
Day 2 (load) - 155
Day 3 - 155
Day 4 - 150.5
Day 5 - 153
Day 6 - 153

Now I am thinking of reasons why I havent lost as much and the only thing I can think of is that I am using conditioner (but its Jason brand which is all organic) I have very long hair that goes down to my butt so conditioner is a must..

Is it too early to do an apple a day? Any help/advice would be wonderful... Grin

Please don't give up...you will lose weight if you stick to the protocol.  I will be honest that last November I started my first 26 day cycle with 23 days of shots.  During my 23 tour of shots I lost a total of 12 pounds...going up and down some days due to a couple of days of cheating.  I would have probably lost more if I had been religious to the protocol.  After a few months I had gained about 5 pounds back so in April of this year I did another 23 day round of shots.  I don't know if the timing was off or if I just did not have the mind set that I did the first time (I did not fully stay on the protocol) but I only lost a few pounds. Since then I have gained a few back.  I am currently re-ordering and I should have my next 23 day program starting soon.  I really do believe in this program...I have tried a lot of diet supplements, drinks, programs, etc.  I don't have a lot to lose but this seems to really be a protocol that works!  The only real struggle is keeping it off.  I do think now that after the program I will have to re-align my way of thinking about eating.  And remember how good it is to have lost the weight and how if feels to  look and feel better in clothes!  It will happen...just hang in there and know that it will work if you follow the protocol.  I plan to stay on track during and after the protocol by making meals a healthy choice.  I felt so much better when I was on the protocol...my digestive system was better...my mood was better...I just felt better.  It must be the right thing to do!

Best of wishes for success!

You're not supposed to mix your veggies.  The only exception is a salad, consisting of lettuces, celery, cucumbers, and I think tomatoes are fine.  I ate tomatoes in my salad and it was all right.  But the asparagus should be eaten alone.  I believe it's 5.76 calories/oz., so you can eat maybe 8 or 9 oz.

You may also want to eat 1/2 grapefruit or some strawberries in place of an apple to change things up.  The idea is to throw your body different curves to keep the metabolism on its toes, so-to-speak.

My honest suggestion (and just an opinion) would be to stay away from the recipie book, ans stick directly to the origional manuscript. Dr. Simeions (sp? sorry) tried many different things before perfecting his protocol, so sticking to it would produce the best results. Good luck!

I have been taking the HCG injections since 8/18.  I have hit a few plateaus along the way. I have been averaging about 1/2 pound a day. On my morning weigh in on 9/1 I had actually gained 1/2 pound so I did an apple day that day.  I lost 1 pound, so I did my vlcd, then the next day I weighed exactly the same, so I did another apple day and lost 1.4 pounds.  Again I did the vlcd with no weight loss.  So far this week I have only lost 1.8 pounds. I have had 18 injections and lost a total of 11.6 pounds.  My husband did 2 rounds and lost 60 pounds.  He took 6 weeks or so off and we started together and he lost another 16 pounds.  He has stopped his injections and is giving me what he has left so I will be able to go beyond the 23 shots. I too have very long hair (past my butt.  Someone else wrote in about their long hair) and wonder if it is my shampoo & conditioner.  I did read however, that since the conditioner gets rinsed out right away, that it was o.k.  Any suggestions anyone?Huh?

If your Shampoo or conditioner has any oil in it, then that could be the problem!
My hair is down to my butt, and I don't use any condition when on the shots....its not my favorite part of it, but I never wanted to risk it.

I'll check the label.  I use Pantene shampoo & conditioner.  I need the conditioner just to get the tangles out.
