I know that it is ideal to have no alcohol consumption during this diet especially during the phase 1 protocol...but does anyone have a glass of wine or a beer, is it permitable?  In any way, shape or form?  Not that I need or do drink, just wondering its place within this if there is a special occassion, or is it just like they say..."just say no"?!  Thanks for any input!

Definately not during the cleansing, injection or 3 week maintenence. After that I think you may have a glass of beer or wine in moderation.

My two friends who completed 23 days of injections and phase 3 have had success drinking alcohol on Phase 3.  They both stuck to Bacardi Rum which is carb free & sugar free.  It does contain 66 calories per 1 ounce.  So you should probably keep track of that.  I plan on looking into Vodka for myself which I would think would be purer than Rum.  I would make sure to stay away from anything dark though - as those usually do have the most sugars (Captn. Morgan for example).  I plan on mixing my vodka with diet soda.

Stay away from diet soda.  Haven't you read KT's book?

Keep in mind that alcohol and wine have a high sugar content.  You want to stay away from that even on Phase 3.  If you do drink, I would try Organic wine.

I have had absolutely no problem with rum and diet coke and actually continue to lose weight (1-1.4 lbs. per day.) Usually, this is only done on weekends during ball games or at parties. The problem is to me not the drinks but being around all the other types of food.
