I've been on HCG for nine days so far and have been steadily losing around 1 Ib. per day.  But, i still get some pretty good hunger pangs and spells of weakness.  I'm always sort of on the edge of weakness, like the energy will give out soon, and I'm going to start getting the shakes.  Even though I get spurts of energy, a lot of time i'm kind of fatigued and lethargic.  I also get strong feelings of wanting to go to sleep.  Is this normal?

I suppose HCG is working, but I can't deny being a little disappointed.  I thought I was supposed to be full of energy and not hungry.  Guess KT is just being the great salesman that he is...

A fair number of people have reported this.  I also had it - this is what I replied to another person who had this question:

"I too had periods of light-headedness but I discovered that mine was due to low blood pressure.  I think that Dr. Simeon talked about this somewhere in the protocol.  My advice would be to check your BP when you feel that way and see where it is at.  I found mine had dropped from 135/85 down to 109/63 in about 3 weeks - way too low!  I was on blood pressure meds so the solution was easy for me - drop the meds and my BP popped back up to normal."

So check your BP - the loss of water may be dropping it too low.  May sure you are staying hydrated.

Thanks, Strathy.  I had actually gone to my doctor this past weekend, and my blood pressure was normal.

Hi there!  I'm a newbie, and just saw this post as I'm looking through...  I was scanning KT book "Weight Loss Cure"  just last night, and it mentions if you have Candida in your body then it can cause hunger pains, being hungry, etc. (basically).

He suggests you do a candida "cleanse" or whatever he called it before you start.  I didn't do this.  I saw a Naturopathic Dr. before I started the HCG, and he said this diet/program works better if the candida is knocked out first.

I still have to get some oil of oregano, but he said to take 1 tsp. 3 times a day for about 2 weeks, and it should be taken care of.

I hope this is O.K. to add after 6 weeks!  Just thought I'd share!  Hope you're doing well!

Hi there I am a newbee also (today)
I also bought KT's book, read it cover to cover, and am in Phase 1. (no injections yet although I have the HCG in my fridge waiting)
I have a professional Colon Hydrotherepy appointent for next week, and am on day 3 of a 15 day intense Candida cleanse. I agree with Jenn about the Candida cleanse! KT and other sourses mention about hunger and cravings continuing reguardless of the proticol (sp), unless the yeast is eliminated or at least lowered significantly.
I am drinking a gallon (almost) of water a day, and have been in phase 1 for 2 weeks this Wednesday... lost 11 lbs so far just in this phase! Do a candida cleanse... I am using CandiGone.
Good luck!
