I've been pouring over this forum for weeks now. Seems like no one comes in here often enough to take us all through their entire hcg diet 'journey.' Too bad.
So far, I've been successful but am only in day 3 of Phase 3 and find myself TERRIFIED to eat anything! It all seems too much compared to the vlcd I had gotten comfortable with while taking my drops. I am focusing on really listening to my body and only eating when I am hungry, whether that means once, twice or three times a day.  I'm also focussing on making good choices but find myself confused and looking at foods that I think I want to eat with a suspicious eye while wondering if they contain hidden carbs or sugar! Although I've missed certain specific 'junk food' treats I used to eat my fair share of, I wonder if it's even worth it!
Everyone seems to have their own methods to adhere to regarding the 'maintenance period.'
Seems like Dr. Simeons left out a chapter in his book, huh?

Would love some fresh new tried and true advice from any successful people who have gone through all phases of the hcg diet and have managed to keep their weight loss off while not feeling like they are deprived now......
Thanks! By the way, I was able to drop 20 pounds in my 23 days and I loved having to put new holes in my belts and get a new and better fitting pair of jeans!

Susanna, I was feeling the same fears as you when I went into phase three.  Right now I am on the 14th day and have only gained .8 pounds over my last spray weight.  I did have a steak day last week though. 

A couple of things that I am very diligent about during this phase is eating non processed foods and reading labels.  I also count calories and try to be sure I am eating enough. 

Don't fear fat.  Contrary to what we have always been told about fat consuming some fat will help burn the fat in our unwanted stores.  I trim my steaks but eat what ever fat is left. 

You are right about listening to your body however you should still have a snack a couple of times a day.  It is recommended that you eat 2 organic apples and a grapefruit each day.

I am looking forward to continued success on this.  I lost 20 pounds in my first 26 days.  I will be ready for another round after the first of the year and hope to loose another 15.
