Hi, I have lost 6 pounds in 5 days but have been feeling a little weak and shaky especially after I get up in the morning. Also, sometimes I am a little light-headed when I stand up from a sitting down position. It has not been as bad as the day goes on but I am a concerned. Has anyone had these symptons? Thanks for the help.

I feel that way a lot!  I seem to get lightheaded a lot...even when I'm not on the VLCD.

Drink more water and tea! A cup of green tea with stevia will take away that feeling.

I too had periods of light-headedness but I discovered that mine was due to low blood pressure.  I think that Dr. Simeon talked about this somewhere in the protocol.  My advice would be to check your BP when you feel that way and see where it is at.  I found mine had dropped from 135/85 down to 109/63 in about 3 weeks - way too low!  I was on blood pressure meds so the solution was easy for me - drop the meds and my BP popped back up to normal.

I have had just the opposite effect - a surge of energy.  But I have been really hungry - so it doesn't seem to help with appetite control as much as I expected.

It takes about 2 weeks for most people to start disconnecting from food. Drink more tea and lots of different kinds!!!

Hey everybody~
yea, I felt the weakness thing too.
Kathy told me to drink more tea and water, which really helped!
Be careful about the amount of exercise you do, be consistent with mild-to-moderate aerobic activity, don't go crazy like I did and do hardcore aerobics everyday, which I think inhibited my weight loss during treatment.
but even w/my regular spring water and ordinary green tea, I was gettin bored, so I went to my local Co-op and got a bunch of different kinds of teas and started to experiment with flavors=super fun, especially when ya find one or two ya like!
When it got hot out, I would fill an ice tray with tea that i just made, and then in the morning I could have ready to go iced tea. Smiley
Hope it helps.
