shipping from Netherlands, not Spain?? Help!!!

OK.........so I called the wonderful US post office to day and was told "yes, international first class letter is usually 6-10 business days".  However sending an international first class letter does not offer any other services so there is no way to track, and obviously no delivery guarantees.  If letter is lost then you're just out of luck. 

As of last Friday it's been 14 business days since I mailed my letter.  If I thought for a moment it would have taken this long I would have sent it priority mail.  At least you have a delivery guarantee and it's trackable.  I guess this is just Murphy's Law at work for me. 

Am now praying to postal gods and Hermes (god of land travel and FTD) that my check arrives soon.

Hi everyone.

Well.........it's now been 17 business days and my order is still pending.  I don't want to let this go on too much longer before deciding my check is lost in the mail.  How many days should it be floating around in limbo before it's considered lost??

Not that comfortable with that much money lost in space.  I'm thinking at this point I'm going to have to put a stop payment on the check.  I'm sure that'll cost me at least $30.00.  Not having a good experience with the first class international letter route.

Glad the rest of you are having good results!

Oh my gosh!!!!...........

I just got a message from Sharon that my check was received today.  Yay!!!!

Just as I was about to loose all faith in the postal service they came through.  It only took 17 business days, but hey, at least it finally made it there!

I am sooooo hoping to get my shipment quickly.  I did some calculating this morning and if I get it in two weeks I will have just enough time to get this first round completed before my big event coming up in July.  Yay!

I really focused all my energy on what I should do about this and asked for guidence (sp?) today as to whether I should begin to find out how to put a stop on my check in case it was lost, or should I just be still and give it some more time.  I can't help it......I worry about stuff.  I know I shouldn't.  Anyway I asked the universe to get my check there today and pictured it being placed in their mailbox a few times and then let it go. 

I know, I know.............it's probably just a big coincidence, but you never know, do you?

I can't wait to get started now and join the rest of you on the journey to less lbs.  You are all doing so well.  I have got to get my food ready now.  Have a lot of fish ready.  Am planning on loading up on salmon, tuna and almonds since they're my favorites and I won't be able to have them for quite a while.
