I SAW IN THIS POSTING THAT DRINKING "ICE WATER" IS VERY UNHEALTHY??? HOW CAN THAT BE?Huh  IT IS JUST WATER !!!!

Well ice cold water constricts your blood vessels everywhere it goes. I know that people with asthma, lung or bronchial issues are not supposed to drink iced anything for this reason. KT mentions it too---I'll have to go back and read it. I seem to remember that he says it is another factor in overweight...

BARELY REMEMBER READING THAT IN THE PROTOCOL.....NOT REALLY FOND OF ROOM TEMP WATER, BUT I GUESS I'LL GET USE TO IT IF IT WILL HELP ME LOSS.
MY HUSBAND & I HAVE BEEN ON THIS TOGETHER.  WE ARE ON OUR 2ND 40-DAY CYCLE.  THE 1ST 40 DAY CYCLE WE DID, I LOST 26 LBS....THIS TIME WE ARE 23 DAYS INTO IT & I'VE ONLY LOST 9 LBS.  I'M EATING & DRINKING WHAT I'M SUPPOSE TO. I DON'T EAT AFTER A CERTAIN HR.  I SEEM TO BE STUCK BETWEEN 177.0 & 179.0...IT'S LIKE MY BODY HAS JUST STOPPED.  I DID THIS LAST TIME 2, BUT IT CORRECTED ITSELF.  I TRIED THE "APPLE DAY" 3 TIMES, BUT THREW UP ALL 3 TIMES(DIFFERENT DAY'S) I TRIED IT.  NOT REALLY KEEN ON THREWING UP, SO I DON'T WANT TO TRY THE APPLE DAY AGAIN...  I'M GETTING REAL FRUSTRATED.  MY HUSBAND IS LOSING 1-2 LBS A DAY...WHY CAN'T I LOSS !!!  HELP. I STILL HAVE ABOUT 35-40 LBS TO GO.....WE ARE GOING ON A CRUISE @ THE END OF JULY & WOULD REALLY LOVE IT IF I DIDN'T LOOK LIKE A BEACH WHALE....ANY SUGGUESTIONS?Huh? Hmmm...not sure what to suggest.  If you are following the protocol in every way, and can't do the apple day, I honestly don't know what else to suggest.  I'd just stick it out....you are probably in a plateau...just stick to the protocol and it should fix itself.

Did you try the stawberry day??? One of our members (who has a problem with apples) tried it (I thought it was you)-- six 3.5 ounce servings of strawberries in one day plus all your water, teas and fiber.

Another thing you might try is to go down to 400 calories but not reducing your protien. Also you should save 1 ounce of your protien from dinner and have it as a evening snack. Are you taking fiber?? How is the elimination?? If you are at all constipated, drink smooth move tea at bedtime.

BTW, I'm with you on the cold water. I've been compromising by going refrigerated but no ice when I really am hot. Otherwise I keep my cases of water in the pantry where it's dark and cool, so it's a little cooler than room temperature.

Hi Rae,

You could have hit a plateau.  If you have tried regular types of diets in the past, sometimes the body will remember that weight and keep you stuck.

Try eating ONLY 6 apples for ONE DAY. 

As a rule this breaks the plateau.

Also, take a real close look at any oils you may be absorbing through your skin.  Makeup, lotions, hand creams, etc.

Use Corn Huskers lotion, or mineral oil (if you don't mind slippery).

The HCG program requires attention to every detail and will work perfectly when followed exactly.

THANKS TO ALL FOR THE SUGGUESTION. 
TO KATHY FROM CALIF....IT WAS ME THAT HAD THE PROBLEMS WITH THE APPLES.  I NEVER DID TRY THE STRAWBERRY DAY, I ENDED UP LOSING AFTER GETTING SICK FROM THE APPLES WITH NO WEIGHT GAIN AFTER.  I HAVE BEEN ON MANY, MANY, MANY DIETS IN THE PAST & HAVE BEEN LOWER THAN I CURRENTLY AM NOW, SO I DON'T UNDERSTAND WHY THE PLATEAU @ THIS WEIGHT.  GUESS MAYBE I'LL TRY THE STRAWBERRY DAY & SEE IF THAT WORKS.  SOMETHINGS GOT TO GIVE...I'M LOSING MY MIND.
