I decided to "do an apple day", today! Hopefully it works! I've only eaten two apples so far, and I don't feel nearly as hungry as when I do eat meals. It now makes sense that I could have been eating too much.

My goal weight is a good 50 lbs away.

I am reading Dr. S's Manuscript again, does anyone else find it fascinating?

We have found that deviating from Dr. S's diet even slightly had very disappointing results or no results at all.  The manuscript stated that even a 100 calorie increase would be devastating.  Page 38 under Faulty Dieting.  We were some of the one's that thought deviation was ok and found out the hard way it was not.  Since then, bought a postal scale to weigh food and has been dropping even since.  We are both down 14.2 lbs. in 17 days.

I even went as far as to drink Diet Coke with Splenda............oops, big no, no.  Also make sure portions are as they say.  100 grams is roughly 3.5 ounces by my scale.  Lobster tail is delicious as well.  Never get tired of that, but the wallet will!

Dercat-You are 100% correct!Thats what we have all been saying all along--Ive always said--This diet will tell on you if you cheat! Its really kind of amazing.
I started another round and today is day 4--day 2 of vlcd-I am down 4 lbs.166--woohoo-I havent been that weight in over 15 yrs-I most definently feels good--But the first round i think we all had to cheat at least once--Its kinda hard---But then ---yes---This diet will let you know it in a hurry--So this time around i am going to try my hardest to stick to it-And i already know and experienced the plateaus so--This round should be better as i know what more to expect.
Good luck to you all and Happy Friday!

Good news: this morning I lost 2 lbs! But-now I am only back at the weight I was last Sat.
Really hoping that my loss continues.
Reread Dr. S Manual - and forgot that there can be a "plateau" during treatment, but it says it usually happens in the second part of the longer treatment, so I was confused. Maybe my body hit a plateau earlier, or maybe I was eating wrong.
I wholeheartedly believe that HCG will work for me, but I literally don't have a way to measure my food. So if I was "cheating," it was unknown to me. I suppose I will need to go buy a scale, because I feel like I just wasted 5 days, which is a horrible feeling when I saved for a while to purchase this and then nothing happens...
Anywho~thx for the advice.
I guess I just need to be patient.

Also wondering if Balsamic Vinegar could be at all harmful to the diet's success?

Please do get a scale and weigh everything and enter it into your excel calorie counter. Balsamic vinegar is higher in calories and sugar than apple cider vinegar and doesn't have ACV's benefits.

Thank you so much for that calorie counter Kathy!
I have been eating too much: I feel so stupid! I'm so committed to this, but all this wk I would be near crying every morning b/c I didn't reduce. Now I know that I must weigh everything I consume, no more guessing and checking for me. I felt so bad the entire time b/c I really did feel like I was eating too much.
Anyways~thx so much!
Are you currently going through treatment? Either way, how are (did) you handle the diet?

I am currently doing a phase 2 after 2 injection rounds. Tommorrow I start  phase 1 to get ready for my next round of injections. I have lost a total of 34 lbs. (I have gained about 10 lbs back between both injection phases but I usually lose it again as I do the cleansing in phase 1).

I ate an apple Saturday afternoon & about 10 min after eating it I got sick....I was goingto do the "Apple Day" today, but when I ate the apple for lunch about ten mins later I threw it up just like on Sat.  If I can't do the Apple Day to jump start lose again what do I do???
Any suggestions would be great.....I'm scared to go to a different type of apple cuz I don't want to throw up again....
Der loss is 17.4lb in 21 days
Cat los is 15.6lb in 21 days
We are going to do 40 straight day's of shots then take a 6 week break like Simeon protocol says....
Not bad, but now I'm stuck...All HELP/Thoughts/Suggestions welcomed...

Could you do a strawberry day? If you could have 21 ounces of strawberries all day--it could feasibly substitute for six 3.5 ounce apples in a day, plus the enzymes in the strawberry are very beneficial.
I'm pretty sure it would work for me, but everyone is different and it is a variation from the plan...So it's up to you if you want to experiment... Also, for me, even though Simeons says  something like 'only enough water to quench your thirst', I have to stick to 2 liters of water per day, my fiber drink and all my teas or I don't lose anything on the scale on an apple day!!! That was my own experiment that I was very pleased with the results of!!! Lori found the same thing.

Also, be careful you are not fooling yourself with the calories, send me a message with your email address if you want it and I'll be happy to send you or anyone an excel calorie counter.

If you do experiment with a strawberry day, please let us all know what happens. Good luck. Kathy

e-mail address is dercat@verizon.net

a typical day's diet is as follows:

Breakfast-breadstick, 32 ounces of water
Lunch-100g chicken, cucumber or apple 32 ounces of water
Dinner 100g chciken or fish, salad, apple 20 ounces of water

periodically during the day, drink tea sweetened with Sweet & Low or Splend or I drink unsweet tea only.  Injections are given every morning.

Is any contact with any type of oil and the skin forbidden?  Just wondering, what about an auto mechanic.  How would he avoid this?

The Sweet and Low or Spenda could be your nemesis. Read up on it as they are controversial "diet substances". They are connected to alot of health problems and water retention as well. I highly recommend Sweet Leaf stevia plus. Stevia is a very sweet south american herb that has no calories or carbs. It is natural not chemical hence it is a great food. You can find a variety of brands at your health food store.

dercat,
I agree with Kathy, those swetners are very bad for you. I know some people that had a problem loosing b/c she used splenda instad of stevia. I also would recomend droping bread but not fruit. I am on my second round and I drink about 3l of water and 4cups of tea a day. One good advise about water, you need to drink it at room temp, it will be so much easier to drink much more water. Water always needs to be at room temp, it is unhealthy to drink icewater.
On this roun I am not having any bread just meat, veg and fruit. My first round I lost 16lb total and this round I already lost 15 and I am not done yet.
I hope this helps.
