Hi there - are Miracle Noodles ok to eat during the very low calorie portion of this protocol?  My doctor did not tell me about these and I was just wondering if you are sure they are ok to eat and not mess with this speedy weight loss.

Thanks!

Well, they are not listed anywhere on any version of the VLCD, but many of us are using them anyways since they are calorie free and natural.

Bikini,
Hopefully you live in an area that actually has an Asian market!  I found a couple online that are about 45 minutes away from where I live, so my fiance and I keep saying we're gonna drive out and see if they have anything.
I have ordered and eaten the angel hair pasta that they make.  We ate it on phase 2 and it didn't affect our weight loss.  I wanted to order some of their orzo pasta and their new lasagna noodles this weekend, but they're out of stock.  My fiance called to ask, and they told him that the product was on a ship from Japan and may take up to 6 more weeks to arrive.
We're starting phase 3 tomorrow, so we're pretty bummed out!

Once I got them it wasn't a real miracle for me. I was full even without them. I was hoping the fiber would help me but it didn't do much for me either. I'm actually thinking P3 will be better because I can use it more like noodles and spaghetti without the carbs.

Hello,

I got my miracle noodles and cut open a package of orzo.  Drained it and washed it out then boiled then with a little sea salt for abt 5 mins but it was still rubbery tasting anyone have any suggestions for making it better.

When I got the noodles (angel hair), it says not to cook or they would get soggy because of overheating. Just to open the package drain, wash for about 3 mins with running water from the faucet, I used it warm, and then it said that it is really, really important, to dry them with a towel. (they sticked to the paper towel, but not to the fabric towel)
It also said that they are instant and do not need anything else, but, If desired you can  dry roast them. I preheated the pan and just put them in it for about 30 secs to 1 min.
They were ready. They felt fresh..but the flavor is a major thing...since they don't taste like anything. I did some fresh tomato sauce, mixed it with the meat and spices and had some kind of spaguettis. My sauce wasn't really good because it was my first but, if you can perfect your sauce...the noodles will take any flavor....I am leaving them for ph. 3 when I can add some butter and oil and roast them for a few seconds. Also on ph.3 I can get some kind of organic tomato sauce (I found a really good one at Target) and use it or make my own mixing more stuff...I can't do that right now. SO....hope this helps.

As previous mentioned they take on the flavor added. I did cook mine with whatever I was making. Spinach, cabbage, either with garlic and salt & pepper, cayenne, chicken or ground beef. chili powder. You get the idea. Mine was from an Asian market. They were to cook for 10 min. They came like spaghetti. If I wanted them like rice I took the suggestion here and just put them I my food processor.

No matter what they are rubbery!!! They seem to adapt the best to asian style recipes. Soy sauce, stevia, garlic, ginger, salt & pepper is a great one  to stir fry in with all of your veggies and protien choice. Curry sauce works good too!!!

Hi Everyone,

Miracle noodles are great to eat WITH your two meals because it curbs your carb cravings and it absorbs everything you cook it with.

Shirataki (miracle noodles) are generally made to be with Sukiyaki.  So what I rec is that you pour it out of the bag, drain, cut up, and rinse absolutley thuroughly with hot hot water.  Boil 100 grams of chicken in as much water as you want (I add a lot of water because it helps fill my stomach), add poultry seasoning, basil, salt and pepper, add the noodles and boil on high for another 20 mins, keep adding water as it will reduce.

Top with cayenne for taste.

I always end up with a giant bowl of chicken and noodle soup.  I love it because it really really fills me up.

PS.  It is not true that it will lose any benefits or nutrition when it's cooked long.  It will also not get soggy.  As a matter of fact, if you don't like the rubbery/chewey taste, I would cook it longer or pre-cook it and use it the next day; that way, it has more of the texture of spaghetti.
