Hi Bonbon,

You can have 1 whole egg, and 2 egg whites in place of the meat.  Very good scrambled with peppers and onions, cooked in a teaspoon of coconut oil!  Welcome to the forum, a bit belated Cheesy  Later, Toni

I believe its 3-Thats what i do as well-Its just extra protein!!No fat--Ive scrambled them but also have boiled 4 eggs and ate 1 whole and the whites only of 3 more---Works!You can poach them to----Its a great alternative to chicken!! Wink
or another possibility is "cottage cheese" instead of meat---Protein as well----I know your going to ask how much---I always choose the 1% or no fat and eat a cup----for a meat subsitute.I think its maybe 3/4 cup but i love it!!! Grin

On the cottage cheese a half a cup is 113 grams. I know we are supposed to use 100 grams, but I just go ahead with the 1/2 cup. Then I found that it's hard to only eat a half cup of cottage cheese, so I had to just stop buying cottage cheese while I'm on the VLCD.

No yogurt. The cottage cheese or eggs are not to be used more than once a week if at all. I say that if you can do without them for 3-6 weeks, you will have better results. Simeons mentions them as substitutions that have less than satisfactory results.
