Hi everyone from a newbie.  just ordered my shots this last week and have been trying to soak myself with information from this site before my hcg arrives and I actually start my diet. I am excited and scared but kinda think I am rushing into this without all the knowledge I need.  I am still trying to finnish kevin's book and I just downloaded pounds and inches so I guess I will fell more like I will know what I am doing after I have finished reading.  Any advise on this getting started would be greatly appreciated.  Also has anyone found any other sites with more recipies? trying to also prepare for the few things that is allowed to eat??  Well at this point any advise or info will help!!
thanks  kitkat Huh

Hi KitKat,

I was nervous and scared too.  Most of us have a needle phobia, myself included.  It is not bad once you get past that first shot.  yes, it is very wise to cook and package your food, so you are not caught on a hectic day having to eat something that you shouldn't.  The book and manuscript tell you most of what you need to know, we'll tell you the rest.  If you have specific questions, you will usually get answers from several people.  This forum is so helpful.  Welcome to the forum, KitKat.  Later, Toni

KitKat,
Your going to do this and it will work great for you.  Just think in a week you'll be sailing through... I was very nervous about giving myself shots, what if I break the needle, or hit a vein.  All kinds of things but once I did it I was like; this is not so bad, I can do this.  It will be the same for you too!
Yes, read all you can and get information.  You know what they say ' knowledge is power'.  I'm still amazed at all there is to learn.  I am glad that we have each other though. Isn't technology awesome at times like this.
Good luck,
you can do this, You can do this, YOU CAN DO THIS KITKAT!Kelly

Grin   Thank You thankyou everyone sooo much for your replies.
It's amazing what just a few simple words of encouragement can do.  I started writing lists today of things I need to buy (like a new scale) before I begin and I think I am going to set a date to start phase 1 on Feb 1st.  Good starting date for me.  I am also starting to pre make lists of foods I can and can't eat.  Does anyone already have a pretty good easy to go by list already made up that I can copy??  Anyway thanks again for the kind words I am starting to feel better already.

Kitkat,

On Kt's plan you can mix veggies if you're having a salad.  So, most days I have a large salad for lunch with my choice of protein and top it with my homemade oil-free dressing (apple cider vinegar, spicy brown mustard, water, and stevia).  For dinner I have steamed asparagus with an alternatate protein.  Some here are great making recipes that conform to the protocol but I find it easier (for me) to keep it simple because in addition to all the time I spend making my meals I still have to cook other meals for my family.  I usually end up making 3 different dinners a night - one for me, one for my hubby, and another for my daughter who is a vegetarian!  I dream of the day when someone may cook for me for a change!  I already told my husband that when it is just us I'm only cooking half the week.  He can cook the other nights or take me out - his choice! Grin  I wonder which one he'll pick?

Wow, talk about getting off the subject - sorry!

wow!  to beeorlando my Kudos to you.  And I thought I was going to have it bad during phase 2 having to cook something else for my daughter, but you have to cook all that other food and still stick to the strict diet.  I am soo proud of you and also kida sad for you to have to do that.  You tell your husband and your daughter that I said they must have one terrific mom/wife  ok.
thanks for the info I am for sure going to try your recipe for salad dressing.  I just can't imagine eating a salad with no dressing at all  Cry
thanks again

I am amazed and impressed with Carla and the others that have to deal with food and stay on track. My husband is with me on the phase 1 part, but will not be on phase 2. I told him he was on his own at that point. I'm just so afraid of not making it this time. It feels like my last chance to be normal.

Brenda,
Go back to where you orginally set it up and select weight. It's one of the boxes that need to be checked. Look at each page before you go to next, it's there somewhere.
