Jinxy, are you by chance related to Thistime4sure?  I seem to recall she had a will-power issue as well!

I listened to The Power of Now on audio book - it was really good.  Power up girl and keep focused on the goal!  We place too much importance on food - it's mind over matter. Just start over and if you feel like you're going to faulter, jump on line here and talk to the group! We'll keep you on track!

By the way - welcome!  We need a lurker.  We already have a few stalkers and cheaters here - you'll fit right in!

Lila,

I am only on day 4 of VLCD, but I know what you're talking about.  I was thinking the last few days that the apples tasted sweeter, too.  Maybe it's because we are not having much sugar, so when we do, it tastes much sweeter.  I don't know why it does, but I like it!

Noelle,

As far as I know I'm not related to anyone on this board!  Grin I'm planning on hitting the bookstore this weekend to find one of the books that were mentioned!

I decided to take yesterday and today as load days. After loading yesterday, I'm up less than a pound. The first time I loaded I gained almost 5 pounds. I'm all ready to start the VLCD tomorrow. I took my 8 year old's advice and tasted celery again (I've always disliked celery). She heard me mention the advice of Brenda about eating celery when I was crashing. I have to admit, it doesn't taste as bad as it did when I was a kid!!  Grin So, I'll be eating celery this time!!!

Jinxy,

Just a tip - I cut up small slices of celery whenever I make a salad.  It gives the salad some crunch and it is catabolic - you burn calories just eating it!

I suppose I shouldn't tease you about willpower issues when I haven't yet tried maintaining a 500cal diet! Sorry! I just love your screen name though.

Like I'm on week one and I have good will power I would say, but today I caught myself eating Lays potatoe chips (just three) but still.  If that aint crazy. My son had the bag there and in goes my hand ( and no one can eat just one) then I go; what am I doing. So that was it.  But I could of ate the whole bag.

Anyway,  i think there will be minor bumps in the road as we travel. I'm trying to stay on the straight and narrow however.  When I slip I must confes, this is about accountability for me too.
It helps to know were all in this together...
