hey all...can we use baking soda for toothpaste, and how about soap? Is glycerin okay? Does it matter what laundry soap we use?

Simeons never said anything about toothpaste, but KT has alot to say (negative) about Flouride toothpaste. I advise to use your own best judgement. I tend to alternate, because I notice that the whitening quality of my organic, natural toothpastes is not as good as "regular".

I'm sure laundry soap doesn't effect the VLCD results, but some have allergens and are bad for the environment. Read up about it. Glycerin soap is probably fine if it's vegetable glycerin (check ingredients), not propylene glycol. Glycerin is an oil though, and it's best to stay away from lotions or creams with it.

Do the shampoos and conditioners really make that big of a difference? Also, does anyone know what will help with my sweet cravings? I am dying here!!

I'm sure that the lotions and creams make a difference, since I see it mentioned in every version of the regime. However, to be honest, I used conditioner Nexxus Humectress during the VLCD and continued to lose. I did only use a dab the size of a nickel though! Whenver I failed to lose, I could usually trace it to my TOM or a cheat.

Shari, have you ever done a Candida Cleanse?  That may help with the sweet cravings, and I can't remember if that's one of the ones that you can do in phase 2.  I thought Ramonad said that it was OK on phase 2.  Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.  Later, Toni
