Hi All,

I am very pleased to tell you all that I will finally be starting today.  My daughter took pictures (yikes!), and we did measurements.  I think she is just as excited as I am about it.  Since today and Sunday will be my load days, I will be spending my weekend cooking and packaging the foods that I will be able to eat starting Monday.  I have been drinking Yerba Mate, Oolong, chamomile, and other teas for about a month, have done a full body cleanse and a kidney cleanse, am taking probiotics and Coral Calcium along with an Organic triple fiber capsule.  I have so far lost about 12 pounds just doing those things.  I have quit drinking coffee, and all but quit the Ibuprofen and Acetaminophen.  I only take Ibuprofen if I have a migraine.  I now have Aspirin, which is what is allowed.  Everything I have to eat is organic, except for the Grissini.  My favorite Organic apple so far is called "Pink Lady".  These are a nice sweet apple with a bit of tartness.  I am going to have my apple, orange, or half a grapefruit along with one grissini for my morning snack, I like them a lot with the teas.  For lunch a meat or fish and veggie, for supper a different meat or fish and veggie, and lastly an evening snack of a fruit and one grissini, which I will probably have 3.5 hours before my usual bedtime, as I can not sleep if my stomach is growling.  I think that the only time I will mix my veggies is when I have a salad, and it will probably be just lettuce and 1 organic tomato, or cucumber, maybe with one of the girls' dressing recipes from this site.  Everything that I eat is going to be from the list of allowed foods.  This will work for me!  As you all can probably see, I am a second shifter who likes to stay up late, and sleep a little late, so my injections will be done at noon.  Thank you all for your support, and I will be counting on you for more.

Welcome newbies!!!

Toni,

Congrats on your first day!  Sounds like you are super motivated and super organized so you should do very well on this.  The diet itself does get repetitive but there are always new ways to mix it up!

Can't wait to read about your progress!

Thanks Carla,

I just could not do the injection until I told my ex about it.  All I could think of is him finding the "goods" and thinking that I was doing drugs or something like that.  I did not want to have to hide something, all the while worrying that he would find it.  His reaction was way different than I thought it would be.  He was damn near supportive, and even gave me a few tips on injecting, as he used to have to give our dog injections for allergies.

OK, with that being said, here is my experience with my first injection.....
I was pretty terrified.  It took me 20 or 25 minutes to finally do the deed.  I was actually shaking, and tried to make myself inject like 6 or 7 times.  My palms were sweaty, and I felt a little "fainty", as Brenda would say.  I was not sure if I was going to be able to do it, but I finally did, and it's like, 3 hours later, and I'm still alive!  You know what else...IT WASN'T THAT BAD.  In fact, it wasn't bad at all.  I am injecting in my thigh.  A little bit of the HCG came out when I took out the needle, but not much at all.  I feel confident that I only lost a small fraction of the HCG that I put in.  Tomorrow I will try Ramonad's technique of pulling the skin taut until I get the needle in.  Maybe I won't lose any tomorrow.

My mission for the rest of the day...Build structural fat.  I've got that part down!  It's fun, but I am really looking forward to Monday when I start the VLCD, and losing abnormal fat.  I can see myself at my first goal in 6 weeks!

I am super excited about this!  Later, Toni

Thanks Brenda,

I am very psyched about it.  It seems like I have been waiting so long to start.  I am very happy that I told the ex about it, too.  I am also going to check out the water filters jbiggs was talking about.

Jbiggs, how's the diet going?

Hi All,

Well I had no trouble with the load days, it was fun, but now it's down to business!  Sunday morning after my first load day I had gained 2.2 pounds.  Monday morning after my second load day I was back down 1.8 pounds, and yes, I ate a lot both days:-)  I definitely ate more on Saturday, though.  Monday was my first VLCD day.  I was a little hungry, and had a slight headache that it took only 1 aspirin to cure.  I am looking forward to getting on the scale in the morning, and getting another VLCD day under my belt.  Later, Toni

Toni,

Keep up the great work!  I WISH it was a load day for me - I've been craving fast food and pannini sandwiches lately.  Maybe it is because everytime I turn around someone in my family wants me to make them a pannini sandwich on my new pannini maker!  They look sooooo goood!  Oops  Shocked- I should not be talking so much about food when you're now on your VLCD days.

Let us know your your first week goes.  Brenda is right - the first week is heaven!

Hi All,

Thank you Lila, Brenda, and Carla!
I am going to wait a week or so before I post my results, but I will tell you that I was happy when I stepped on the scale this morning, because I didn't "feel" like I lost anything yesterday.  Carla, I am on such a mission that you could talk about all the food you want to, I wouldn't eat it if it was right in front of me:-)  Yesterday my manager brought us in a slice of Pumpkin Roll...I love pumpkin roll, but when he told us about it I just said "that was really nice of you, but I am on a mission, and I don't want it."  He knew that we had started our diets, neither of us took it, but it sure smelled good!  All I have ever had is the frozen Pannini, but I really like them.

Brenda, Yes I am going to skip Sundays.  I don't want to make myself immune to this HCG.  Yes, I wish all weeks would be plateauless, too.  I am thankful that I won't have a TOM to contend with.  That seems to be a tough time to lose for most women I have read about here.

Lila, thank you for your support, I think I read on another thread that you are getting great results...Keep it up!  Later, Toni

Go Toni! Go Toni! Great Job!!!I am glad you are having such great success. I fell face first off the wagon this weekend. Its my TOM and I was craving such strange stuff. I gave in around 10:30 Friday night ugh! I am back on the wagon now though and surprisingly, more enthused and determined than ever.

Go Toni,
Great job this past week, I'm so proud of you.
Keep it up girl.

Shari,
I had the same trouble during my TOM, I was craving like crazy chips. Which usually for me it's sugar, but I did eat extra fruit too. Now I'm back the course.  Today I had someone come fix my car and I asked what do I owe you, they said "lunch", I Nearly died.  What could I do, I didn't have anything here to make for someone else so we went out for fajitas.  I took the green peppers out, and only ate the chicken and salsa, and onion.  Water for a drink.  Wow, lost nothing this morning now this. I hope this don't set me back any tomorrow.  Tonight I'll eat all the right foods and hopefully that helps. I tried my best to stick to it even eating out.

How long you been on this round?
