Is unsweetened Lipton Ice Tea allowed?  Kiss

Also, Lipton has a Caffeine Free Herbal Honey- Lemon tea that I bought.  Is this allowed? The ingrediants say it has orange peel, chamomile flowers, lemon grass, licorice root, roasted chicory root, natural lemon and honey flavors, soy lecithin and dried honey(contains wheat)
in it. Huh

Also, is sweet balsamic vinegarette allowed?  Regular vinegar is getting kind of boring!  Grin

Thanks!

Hi-When you "read labels"--if Maltrose-suctrose- honey-aspartame-etc   If its listed as one of the first 3 ingredients that is usually what your product is mostly made of .As for the vinegar----It says  "sweet"--thats an indication to me that its sweet because sugar-in some form- is added.Your better off using the reg tea-UNSWEETENED and add stevia with a shot of lemon juice or a real lemon slice.--Or--try zesting a bit of orange and or lemon and add that-its good .Im just not so sure about either. You can try either and in a day or two your scale will tell you if it was a wrong choice.Good Luck

Im good but running out of patience waiting for my hcg-As youve probably been reading our forum under CAN I START TODAY--But it will be here-Theres a major delay in about 6  of us's delivery-So we are alittle paniky. We are so eager to start.Hope all is going well for you---If you ever are to slip up-say--have sugar or just the wrong food it is supposed to show up a day or two later so its really beneficial to keep a journal of everything you put to your mouth and you can backtrack and find the problem!Have a great weekend---I sure miss Ramonad and Hans!I miss there wisdom! Grin---Im finally getting use to the stevia-Its not bad.

Has anyone tried Walden Farms Dressings?  They are carbo free, sugar free, fat free, and cholestrol free.  They do have some sodium.  I get them at the health food store.  They are a little pricy, but come in several flavors and make for a refreshing change of pace for us challenged people that arent in to making stuff by combining ingredients or or are maybe kitchen challenged?

Brenda, I don't think you need to worry about the mechanical grease, it's a petroleum product, like mineral oil and shouldn't be absorbed by the body.

Jim, I saw the Walden Farms calorie free dressing at the health food store. I was tempted to buy it. I didn't mostly because I had just bought a variety of mustards to make my dressings with. Also, I noticed in the ingredient list, propylene glycol, which is a controversial ingredient. KT is very against it and it is an ingredient mostly in cosmetics (KT doesn't want you to use those cosmetics) and antifreeze. I'm trying to find out more about it. Apparently in cosmetics a small amount of it keeps the products from solidifying due to temperature changes. I can't seem to find out much information about it as a food additive, but what I have found is not too encouraging...I mean just the fact that it's a component of antifreeze is alarming. Well, on the other hand it certainly is convienient not to have to be mixing up a batch of dressing every other day, and you only need to use it for the time of your VLCD. Also, if you are doing another cleanse afterward, it's conceivable that you could just plan to cleanse it out. Does anyone else know anything about this ingredient? Kathy
