Cravings were sweful on the protocol for me---I did give in but you pay for it--the scale will show the slightest cheat. If you have to cheat----Make it SMALL---a bite of this or a bite--Non the less-It may result in a stall and they are no fun BUT--can be prevented---Just Dont give in to that urge----You are in control!Really------The red bull is a no no---Sugar comes in 99 forms{names} as I posted earlier.Aspartames is sugar!SUGAR =GAIN!!! You just have to have ALOT of conversations with yourself--Talk yourself out of the cheat and just grab something YOU CAN HAVE.. I will say-Now that im done with the shots---I DONT have the cravings---I think the sugar is finally out of my system---SUGAR-In any form--CAUSES the cravings--Go to your library and get the book-SUGAR BUSTERS!!Awesome book---You will learn alot-Or google effects of sugar----Sorry-This is Not what you wanted to here but its the truth!Good Luck---THIS DIET WORKS---IF YOU FOLLOW IT!!

Hi- I wanted to add a few more things--- Imagine that----This IS NOT A DIET---I was wrong---It's a healthy way of life-Its LIVING.It will work if you follow it and keep all sugar-but stevia--and ALL white flour products At bay!! Its so so important or i wouldnt keep repeating myself---Sugar is in about 90% of everything we eat and I dont want to make myself sick--But the chemicals and preservatives are UNREAL!!! I am eventually gonna have my own organic garden and grow things myself then i will know whats in it--In the stores-Do you ever wonder why the apples are so shiny and pretty--There dipped in wax/chemicals and lettuce stays fresh so long--Dipped in chemical baths. we the consumer injest this and it accumulates in our body's over the years and cause havoc-CANCER,disease in general--And fast food restaurants have most of there products contain a few certain sugar/chemicals THAT CAUSE CRAVINGS!!So you will want there product again and again--I just learned that beef has carbon monoxide not to mention red #5 and other nasty stuff to PRESERVE it-I am a hamburger nut but am now backing off alittle. Not just beef--About all the meat counter products--So thats why ORGANIC is your safest bet----Tyson decided not to keep with the carbon M-if that helps anyone---Theres so much GOOD info out there---Thats all on todays lesson! Have a good day! brenda

Wow thanks for that. Yea i'm a real sugar nut...and i'm sure that's what caused me to eat so much. like some days i would only eat chocolate for the whole entire day. i didn't eat that much...but everything was really fatty.
You're right on this protocol i do feel a lot better. I'm not really sure I can eat organic forever, but I will try to cut out more chemicals and whatnot.
Beeorlando...when you drank diet coke...did you still lose? Cuz i LOVe diet coke and i LOVE splenda in my coffee... sigh...but i haven't had any since i started the protocol. well i'm only doing the 23 day one so i'll hold off. no cheating for me!
Bee i remember reading in another post of yours about your loss and it was really incredible. How are you doing?

kisses,
Yes I've done ok drinking diet coke (about 1 a day) but I've ordered zevia (diet cola flavored with stevia) and as soon as it comes in I'm saying goodbye to diet coke!
I've been on the vlcd for 11 days and I've lost 10.5 lbs. I lost 9 lbs in the first week and so far only 1.5 this week due to my TOM.

K- I wanted to add one more thing-Personally-i think its better to have SOME organic healthy foods then none at all!! And a really important thing is READ ALL LABELS before you buy!!!You will be amazed--And remember als0-The first 3-5 ingredients listed is what the product you are buying is made up of!! The less real sugar the better-The less WHITE flour the better--Now you can buy orgainic-UNBLEACHED white flour as a alternative..Alternatives are endless!!!Good luck. Brenda

HAHA! GOOD FOR YOU Beeorlando for dumping your own food into your salad! That takes guts!
I do irk waitress' and waiters I notice because when I am out in a restaurant and the waiter or waitress' will actually stand there and FIGHT me on what I want to order and ask me why I am ordering just a salad with chicken and also NEVER remember to bring me vinegar on the side but INSTEAD bring me salad with tons of fattening dressing and loads of cheese(when previously and politely ask them NOT add it!) What is their problem? Then they get pissed when they have to bring it back when it was their fault in the first place that they forgot that I didnt want all that fattening dressing or cheese!! Do you get this too?
I once told the waiter that I wanted regular vinegar and not balsamic instead of salad dressing and then he went on to tell me that I didnt need to lose weight if that was the reason for the vinegar. And to top it off he brought the balsamic(some have sugar) instead of the vinegar. What is with them? I found out Mcdonalds has a grilled chicken that I can ask for. It comes with cheese and they say it is premade so that I cant ask for it without the cheese so I just take the cheese off. Then they have as a side apple dippers. I just ask them to hold off on giving me the carmel to dip it in. Then I asked for mustard or the hot mustard packet and mix the apple and salad and mustard all together and luv it! I couldnt believe I could order something healthy at a fast food restaurant. Then Wendy and McDees has the grilled chicken wrap but I am wondering if the wrap is okay to eat while on maintenance? I also order a side salad with this to make my lunch complete. But maybe the wrap has wheat in it or something and is fattening since it must have flour in it? Maybe I should just skip the wrap? Anyway, that made me laugh and I totally understood when you said you didnt care what the waitress thought of you when you brought your own food because at least you got to eat out with your friend.....hahahaha...it probably pissed her off..good~ lol I actually found a solution on what to do about the dressing solution. I bought a small spray makeup bottle and put vinegar in it to carry around with me for when I am out and want my salads at a fast food place or restaurant! Howz that! lol
But do you know if vinegar can spoil in my pocket book in the summer time....lol. OH MY GOD. I am so happy I have my freinds here on the forum to ask such crazy questions because my family and freinds think I am nuts(actually I think bottom line I thnk they are jealous because of the way I look when I lose weight plus they all are heavy sugar and starch eaters). Anyway..thank God for you guys and thanks as always for all the replies! You guys are great! OH..one more thing before I go...I also make my salads and proteins and bring it premixed in a plastic bag...but now that summer is coming I doubt that I can do that for the lettuce will get all wilted probably..right? Another stupid question that I can actually get to ask here in the forum and not feel stupid! See! I am already stressing because summer is coming and I dont want my vinegar and salads to spoil and now have to think up another solution! GRRRRHHHH!!!!! lol BYE~

I would suggest that you look at the carb count in the veggies that are not on the list. Things like corn, potatoes and carrots are high in carbs and you want to keep that to a minimum

I would definitely only eat the recommend vegetables in the phase as outlined. If you are serious about your weight loss I found for myself that it is very important to follow the protocol exactly as it was outlined and I saw the pounds dropping off quickly. It is all up to you however as to how fast you want to loose the weight and if you want to try adding other vegetables and mixing them. I would not recommend it but I know that the protocol as it is laid out worked for me and I have gotten a new lease on life and regained my self confidence. I followed the protocol outlined by kevin trudeau because I have a sensitivity to pesticides. I hope this helps you out and to all your success on this great weight loss plan.

If you can't handle looking up the nutritional data of what you'll be eating, stick to the list of what's allowed. However, if you don't mind doing a little research, find the net carb count for the new veggie (total carbs minus fiber). If a serving is as low in net carbs as an allowed veggie, then it's fine. So I have mushrooms, bell peppers, canned baby corn, water chestnuts, etc, with no problems. Potatoes are always bad, and I'd stay away from corn unless it's a couple kernels in salsa or something. So basically if you're not strictly following The List, you need to start counting.
The same principle applies to fruits, but check Glycemic Index values as well if fruit makes you hungry or causes cravings. For meats, be careful of fats (calories).
